Food Analyzer at BePrepared.com
I don't think I ever really gave this much thought before- but if an emergency was to strike.. What would I do? Well, I know what I plan on doing now... Getting a survival kit together and stockpiling my food storage!! And more importantly food I will not rely on electricity to prepare! I thought I had plenty of food in the house but after doing a food storage analyzer on beprepared.com I don't have nearly enough food to get us through a power outage. I think everyone shoulkd check out the site and the analyzer! It let me focuz on what specific foods and such I needed to stock up on and some ideas of Meals Ready to Eat

LLLLLLLLLLOOOOOONG week
It has been a nasty and long two weeks, I have been so sick! Thankfully, I am up and feeling better. Unfortunately, I have way to much to catch up on! Anyone know a good cheap maid? LOL.. Well, M has been doing well despite missing a week of his sessions- I think he needed the break as much as I did. He is clapping, which due to his tactile defensiveness, is AMAZING! <3 him- he makes momma so proud!
I heard back from the center for autism, but am very disappointed- they don't offer tours?! No way am i sending my son to a school I've never stepped foot into! Hopefully, we can do something about this but in the meantime I am looking elsewhere!
Well, this mom is off to start lunch and the overwhelming pile of laundry! I will be posting some more later. I have had some good items that I got for free or nearly free and would love to share my thoughts on them!

Advice on Assistive Technology
Although we are making some improvements in M's life. We are still struggling with choices especially mealtime! He has the stubbornness of a toddler when it comes to eating what he wants. Thanks to his condition (pulls her out) he can't tell me what it is he wants. Process of elimination just isn't cutting the mustard anymore! SO.. with the help of some readers, fellow bloggers and google.. I'm off on a search of assistive technology.. I'm not sure where to start and financially just can't buy them all.. LOL So any tips are greatly appreciated. One of his teachers suggested the Big Mac but I'm thinking he may need something with choices or pictures.. I saw the Tap-to-Talk on The Autism Learning Felt and this looks like an option. He loves playing with my cell phone and has learned to manipulate the mp3 player I think this may be a good fit! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE leave me your thoughts and ideas!!
Well.. I finally got N in the Early Intervention program & M is going to be going to the Center for Autism in the next week or so. Things are improving here! YaY!! :-) My mom has been here to visit for the last week and a half! Its been a busy and productive week. ABA is going well now- it was a really shaky start but we r making great strides now~

This has been a very trying and busy week for us! M started ABA @ 10 hrs a week. I really am wondering if this is too much at once. Although, I have seen improvements in certain areas the tantrums and sensory meltdowns have been rough and overwhelming for all of us. N was diagnosed on the spectrum last night. I was shocked by this, I really didn't think he would be. I know he has severe delays in speech and fine motor.. he's still not walking yadyada but I just I don't know. He just seems polar opposite of M, but it doesn't really matter though as long as he get the therapy he needs! We finished up the last of the Surf Sweets and Peter Rabbit Organics! I received some coupons for some free items in the mail! YaY- so this week we will be trying out the Simply Cookies by Pillsbury.. no HFCS, trans-fats, etc.

So we had a little setback this week with our therapy. Actually, not with the therapy or M but with the service coordinator! Ugh.. why people have jobs they don't know how to do is beyond me but.. All's well that ends well! We got it straightened out- Hopefully will be hearing from the "Center" tomorrow and ABA. Any tips would be greatly appreciated, this is going to be an experience like no other. We are making great strides with his therapies now. He has learned some new words.. Activia being one of them LOL- out of all the words he picked Activia he has never even tried activia but has just started eating yogurt and now he says activia when he wants some. ttoo cute!

Received products today..
I received my products for review in the mail today! Today was a happy mail day, no bills- all goodies and FREEBIES! I got a sample of Gain! :-) I received Peter Rabbit Organics Strawberry and Banana, Apple and Grape, and Mango, banana and orange! Woah that is a lot of ands.. :-) We also received our Surf Sweets products. We hav th Sour Berry Bears, Gummy Bears, Gummy Swirls, and Jelly Beans to try out. Naturally, we aren't going to try them all out today ;-) but I am going to give those unfamiliar with the companies a run-down of what they are about, how to order and such!
I'll start with Peter Rabbit Organics. The are a small company based out of London. Currently only their pouches are available in the U.S. But, they have a complete international line of yummy organic goodness hopefully heading this way. The fruit purees are just that- organic fruit, no added junk. They are good for babies, tots and even a healthy snack for school-aged kids! I knew N would like them, I was however skeptical on M. Not because they aren't good, but because he is Mr. Picky McPickster when it comes to eating. Not many things past his "smell test." The boys tried Strawberry and Banana after N woke up from his nap- and they both LOVED it!
So.. Where do you buy these? Well, you have many options. Whole Foods Markets is one, or Amazon.com Plus, many local natural food stores are carrying them too. Check out the website for more info www.peterrabbitorganics.com And, I was update you on how the boys like the 2 other flavors!
Surf Sweets is made with organic fruit juice, natural colors and flavors, 100% of Vitamin C, FREE of corn syrup and GMOs. Also, Surf Sweets is gluten-free casein-free and made in a nut-free facility! www.surfsweets.com for other flavors and candies. We did not taste test these yet, that will have to wait for "snack time." Although, since they took out all the junk we might try them after dinner! The product line can be found nationwide at natural and specialty health stores such as Whole Foods, select Toys R Us and Buy Buy Baby.
I will be adding more info later once we have tried a wider variety of our goodies. Feel free to post any comments/questions and I will get the info out there!

So our day trip turned into an overnight stay at grandma's. M & N are being lil stinkers today. They are going to make me gray at a young age! Meeting and eval tomorrow at a special needs "preschool" in the area. Not academically based, he will just get his therapies there instead of at home- maybe. Tomorrow will be decision day. I'll have my load lighten greatly, but idk I will miss him.. I know it will be good for him but.. well, I am his MOM! lol I am allowed to want to keep him all to myself.. N is sitting here watching me type and signing eat.. too cute, I'm off to the kitchen for the 100th time lol... Fiddlesticks are his *fav* snack atm! I can't complain, they are nutritious, gluten-free and N-approved! Fiddlesticks are by Plum Organics!

My first review
I just received an e-mail from Erika at Peter Rabbit Organics! I'm so excited for my first review. The gang will be reviewing the fruit pouches! Here's a link to the website http://www.peterrabbitorganics.com/ They can be found at various health food stores or online at Amazon. I will let everyone know how it goes!
First post...
Ok so I'm new to being a blogging mommy so bear with me. I am a stay at home mom to two wonderful little boys M & N. M is 2 1/2 and N is 17 months. M was just diagnosed ASD & Sensory Dysfunction so we are on the bumpy road through trials to see what will help him. Right now we are working on reducing gluten and trying to incorporate more healthy snacks and foods. Right now his *faaavv* is Crunch Berries, neither gluten-free or healthy but we are working on this! I will be posting some of the things we are trying to give some insight to other mommies like me. It's gonna be a tough road but the little things get me through the day. Today M said a new word (he is basically non-verbal) Eagle.. I was soo happy! He seems to learn so much from music and pictures!
